Office power gets audited from a meter reading at the end of the month, which gives you the total and nothing about which light was left on over a weekend.
- What we built
Every light and fan reports into one real-time backend and two clients read it: a dashboard in the browser and a bot in Discord. An alert reaches whoever is already in Discord rather than waiting for someone to think to open a tab.
- My part
I wrote the documentation, including the bot guide and the hardware section, and the link-preview metadata.
- Result
Dashboard, bot and alerting built against one shared real-time backend. The hosted demo is offline at the moment, so the repo is the thing to read.
